It is undeniably exciting being part of something new - and we are very excited about the publication of the Eastwood Mercury.

While we have kept our eyes firmly on East renfrewshire we have also looked further afield to provide a read that combines useful information with interesting people and intriguing ideas.

And although we hope that you will enjoy this first offering we would very much like to hear your ideas for features which could be included in the next and future issues.

We also hope to include a letters page to give our readers a chance to share their thoughts but of course only you can help us with that!
