A number of special events and exhibitions are to be staged over the next few months at the innovative Christo's Gallery in Glasgow's west end.

Shows from Scottish landscape artist Dronma and emerging artists Stanley Bird and Alison Cowan are planned for later this summer, while stunning prints from Glasgow artist Gerard Burns are also going to be displayed in the near future.

Work that is currently on display in this welcoming gallery include originals by Graeme McKean, the ever popular Howson, Frank McFadden, Tommy Fitchet and Angela Hynd.

Right now Christo's also plays host to the popular figurative artist Hazel Bowman. "These extremely impressive drawings and paintings of ballet dancers are not to be missed, as she captures light and movement in her impressionistic style," said gallery owner Louise Burns. If you are not familiar with Hazel's work then now is the time to view and appreciate this artist's work, that is fast gaining recognition across the UK.

Louise is passionate about art and always has time to discuss up and coming trends with would-be collectors. "Buying an original piece of artwork can be intimidating the first time. Whether it is £50 or £500, it is usually represents a major investment for the buyer. A visit to a gallery should be a joy in itself and never intimidate or depress".
