Williamwood High School pupils have cashed in for Malawi.

The keen youngsters handed over a cheque for £6,000 last Friday to charity Mary's Meals.

They raised it for their 'adopted' Vowa Primary School, through a range of fundraising ideas which included making and selling smoothies.

John said: "We're very grateful to the Williamwood youngsters. They've done a marvellous job of ensuring that the pupils at Vowa will have enough to eat."
