Cashing in for Mary's Meals

Williamwood High School pupils have cashed in for Malawi.The keen youngsters handed over a cheque for £6,000 last Friday to charity Mary's Meals.
They raised it for their 'adopted' Vowa Primary School, through a range of fundraising ideas which included making and selling smoothies.
Raising a smoothie in celebration with the charity's John Thompson are, left to right, Nicola Turner (14), Fraser Carle (14), Heather McGill (12), Rebecca Mayer (14), Charlotte Strachan (14), Victoria McEleny (14) and Heather McDevitt (14).
John said: "We're very grateful to the Williamwood youngsters. They've done a marvellous job of ensuring that the pupils at Vowa will have enough to eat."
