Following their success at this year’s Celtic Connections, the St Ninian’s Ceilidh Band now have another big night.

The pupils will play as support act to top folk band Breabach at their Carmichael Hall gig a week on Saturday.

One of the most inventive and diverse bands to have emerged from the Scottish folk scene in recent years, Breabach will play material from their new album The Desperate Battle of the Birds.

On the day of the gig Breabach will give the St Ninian’s band an instrumental workshop and will perform a special number with the band on the Carmichael stage.

Doors open at 8pm and the show will run for two and a half hours.

Tickets cost £10 with £8 concession and £5 for students.
