Cubs quiz their local councillor

Eastwood cubs gave their local councillor some tough questions on our environment recently.Councillor Tony Buchanan's visit provided the 35th Glasgow (Crookfur) Cubs an opportunity to ask what East Renfrewshire Council were doing for the environement.
Some of the questions the Cubs asked were:
Q: Why were the trees cut down on Capelrig Road?
A: The trees had come to end of their life cycle and were becoming hazardous.
Q: What can be done about people dropping litter?
A: There is a plan to now spot fine people £50.
Q: Will more dog bins be installed in Newton Mearns?
A: More bins will be installed however not specifically for dogs as any bin can take dog waste.
