Eastwood Park Leisure’s pool is to close for a week from Monday March 1, due to essential maintenance work.

Underwater grouting repairs of the main pool and the three smaller pools are to be carried out as well as repairs to the changing village.

Carmichael Hall will also be closed during the first week in March when the main floor will be uplifted and re-laid. This will mean that aerobic classes will have to be cancelled between those dates. The hall will reopen for business on Monday 8 March.

The Action Zone, however, will remain open to the public during the period of the pool closure.

Community services convener Councillor Mary Montague said: “We apologise to our customers for this inconvenience but our swimming pools at Barrhead Sports Centre, Neilston Leisure Centre and Eastwood High School will be open for business as usual.”
